SLOJAY

SLOJAY is an artist based in Utrecht the Netherlands.

As pretty much all Dutch kids of his generation, SLOJAY grew up in a boring suburb. Because of how uncultured and ugly these suburbs were, they certainly didn’t inspire little SLOJAY. So, he took to his head where he created his own reality. His music is nothing more than an expression of that reality and wants his listeners to be inspired to do the same. SLOJAY expresses that the power of creation is in the hands of all people and no one has to feel powerless. 

 

SLOJAY’s music is a fusion of indie soul, hip-hop, impressionism and cool jazz. Brought with his raw and fluty sounding voice, he is well known for his melancholic and soothing vibes created with warm, yet tensive piano playing. This is supported by dirty and swinging hip-hop grooves that lay the base for SLOJAY’s message.
